Description

This book, produced by the Federal Aviation Administration, “provides basic knowledge that is essential for pilots. This handbook introduces pilots to the broad spectrum of knowledge that will be needed as they progress in their pilot training.” Almost surprisingly for a government-issued publication, this very thorough book contains a great deal of important information, yet manages to present it all in a readable and straightforward style. The text is enhanced by a large number of excellent full-color graphics, pictures, charts, and diagrams which help translate the text into true understanding. This book covers pretty much all areas of aircraft operations that most pilots will need to know about, and would be a great tool for any pilot, student or otherwise, to study.
