Smoke Systems

Steen Aero now offers complete Smoke Oil Systems and components of our own design. An integrated pump regulator provides a constant 14 psi. The regulator body is CNC machined from 6061 T6 aluminum; the internals are brass. Complete systems contain the pump, oil tank, and all required injectors, fittings and hoses. Tanks are available for Skybolts and Pitts, and we offer custom aluminum tank construction for other airplane designs. We are working on a bladder-type pillow tank design. It can be used in irregular spaces which would not be suitable for flop-tube tanks. An ideal installation location is in the belly pan. The design allows all the oil in the tank to be used, without ever pulling air.


Our smoke system includes a polished aluminum smoke oil tank.		We use a high-quality, heavy-duty gear pump of our own design containing an integral pressure regulator.

All fittings are aircraft grade.		Our smoke systems come with a complete selection of the required hoses, fittings, electrics, and oil injectors.
